John Murphy, Ph.D.

Dr. John Murphy, Ph.D., is a psychologist and educator recognized for his contributions to solution-focused therapy. A former professor of psychology at the University of Arkansas, he has made significant contributions to the field of school psychology through research, training, and practice. He is the author of Solution-Focused Counseling in Schools, now in its fourth edition, which promotes a collaborative, strengths-based approach to therapy. Dr. Murphy’s work provides practical tools for helping clients tap into their own resources to create meaningful change.
