Ben Lovett, Ph.D.

Ben Lovett, PhD, is a Professor of Psychology and Education at Columbia University’s Teachers College, where he teaches courses on psychological testing and legal and ethical issues in school psychology. Trained as a school psychologist, Dr. Lovett’s expertise centers on test anxiety, learning differences, and educational assessment, with specialized interest in the development and empirical evaluation of test accommodations for students with disabilities. He has authored over 100 scholarly publications and four books, including his most recent work, Overcoming Test Anxiety. Dr. Lovett brings a practical, evidence-informed perspective shaped by direct clinical experience and research, making his contributions highly relevant to clinicians and educators seeking actionable strategies for addressing test anxiety in diverse learning environments.
