Conducting a Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA
This workshop introduces the foundations and practical application of Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) in school and clinical settings. Participants will learn how to define target behaviors, collect and analyze data, and develop hypotheses about behavioral function. The session emphasizes translating FBA results into effective, function-based Behavior Support Plans (BSPs) that include proactive strategies, replacement behaviors, and reinforcement approaches. Best practices in consultation will also be reviewed to support fidelity of implementation and ongoing monitoring.
