What you are signing up for

A structured way to read, reflect, and earn CE for what you cover

Thanks to Guilford Press for their cooperation for providing the book content at a discounted additional price and the opportunity to engage with this author. The Book Club Series is an interactive, peer-based continuing education experience designed to help mental health professionals engage more deeply with professional books and translate the material into practical clinical applications. Rather than simply reading the assigned material independently, participants work through selected sections together, discuss key concepts with fellow clinicians, consider how the material relates to real-world practice, and identify practical strategies they can apply in their work
Show up with the reading done
We will use the meeting time for discussion, questions, and application.

Semi guided discussion

Each meeting includes prompts to keep the conversation focused, with space for real world questions from your work.

Learn with peers

Hear how other clinicians interpret the material, what they notice, and how they apply it in sessions.

CE credit option

Complete the CE exam connected to the sections we cover in each session. Details on requirements will be provided during registration.
How the book club series works

4 Sessions To Cover The Book, Then Bring Your Questions To The Author

You will meet with your small group for 4 separate Book Club sessions. These sessions will allow for a semi guided discussion with your group on the assigned chapters and opportunity to share insight and ask questions. Then, in a separate 5th session, the groups comes together for a combined Live Q&A session with the book author where they will answer the collected questions from past sessions.

Session 1: Book Club Meeting (Small Group)

Kick off the experience with your assigned group. Set intentions, review key themes from the assigned chapters, and identify the questions you want to explore deeper.

Then take the Session 1 knowledge test and earn (2) CEs

Session 2: Book Club Meeting (Small Group)

Continue the discussion on the next assigned chapters in your group and connect the material to real clinical scenarios. Share takeaways and refine what you want answered.

Then take the Session 2 knowledge test and earn (2) CEs

Session 4: Book Club Meeting (Small Group)

Discuss your thoughts on the final chapters and share overall reflections. Bring the concepts to life by sharing intended clinical application with your group, and refining the questions you want to take into the live session.

Then take the Session 4 knowledge test and earn (1) CE

Session 5: Book Club Meeting (Large Group)

In the final fifth session, the groups come together for a live Q&A with the book author, answering the questions gathered from previous sessions.
